NO MÁS FEMINICIDIOS EN MÉXICO
La vida de las mujeres en México está en constante peligro por el simple hecho de ser mujeres. La indiferencia del Estado mexicano para protegerlas no puede seguir pasando desapercibida.
En enero 2019, fueron asesinadas diariamente 10 mujeres en promedio en México. A pesar de la gravedad, el Estado no cuenta con medidas efectivas para prevenir, erradicar, investigar y sancionar los feminicidios.
Entre 2017 y 2018, Amnistía Internacional documentó los casos de dos víctimas de feminicidio en el país: Karla Pontigo y Alondra González. Estos dos casos emblemáticos siguen esperando justicia y evidencian la falta de políticas públicas efectivas para garantizar que estos crímenes sean sancionados y que no se repitan.
No podemos seguir ignorando que cada dos horas y media una mujer es asesinada en México. ¿Cuántas vidas se perderán hasta que este tema sea prioritario para el Estado?

STOP FEMICIDES IN MEXICO
The lives of women in Mexico are in constant danger simply because they are women. The indifference of the Mexican State to protect them can no longer be ignored.
In January 2019, an average of 10 women have been murdered daily in Mexico. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the State does not have effective measures to prevent, eradicate, investigate and punish femicide.
Between 2017 and 2018, Amnesty International documented the cases of two victims of femicide in the country: Karla Pontigo and Alondra González. These two emblematic cases continue to await justice and showcase the lack of effective public policies to guarantee that these crimes are punished and that they are not repeated.
We can no longer ignore the fact that every two and a half hours a woman is murdered in Mexico. How many lives will be lost until this issue becomes a priority for the State?
